CEREC® 3D for Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry
When utilizing the CEREC® 3D system for cosmetic and restorative dentistry procedures, we will first prepare the tooth in much the same way as traditional methods, beginning with a safe, tasteless powder. From there, a state-of-the-art digital camera will create an optical impression, negating the need for messy tray impressions. Our unique software will then create a customized shape for a precise fit.
While you wait, special CEREC® dentistry specifications are used to custom craft the restoration in an in-office milling machine. The new restoration is then fitted, polished and bonded, resulting in a natural looking, functional tooth that is completely metal free. CEREC® dentistry can sometimes eliminate the need for a full dental crown on your tooth and can save more of your enamel. This allows the procedure to be completed in only one visit rather than the two visits it would take with traditional methods. The CEREC® dentistry system is also excellent for medium to large areas of decay on the back teeth, providing adequate strength while preserving as much enamel as possible.

How Does the DEXIS® Digital X-ray System Work?
DEXIS® x-rays are developed and displayed on a computer screen seconds after they are taken, saving both the doctor and patient the usual wait. The image can also be manipulated for easier viewing, allowing for a more accurate diagnosis. DEXIS® technology also makes billing and insurance approval easier and faster, since it enables the digital images to be electronically sent to insurance providers.
